“Santrophi”

image

Humans have no wings and feathers
Their hearts stands along the hills
Of silent birth and silent death

Your feathers got wet by the rains
You scaled to the skies for hope
And hope seem lost to tiny fragments of the rainbow

I perched on irons and of carved stones
Pebbles of corals left to dry on the coast
And you perched and soar high of your lonesome voice

Where is your nest
O’ child of the air
That you be beaten by life’s whips
And left to perch on a broken wing?

Anoma a wo ntaban embuda
S3 wo koma rentu nto mu
Agya k) esubontsen eni
S3 )b3ma wo eyina mu nsuo anom

Let not your heart falter
But even if the rest of the birds won’t sing to console you
Let not your heart be paunched
For I, your soul mate holds a harp
To play you tunes of our fathers
